Community Partnerships
We believe that establishing community partnerships between corporations and other community-focused organizations help to contribute significantly to the overall academic and social development of students in the communities where these corporations provide services.
For example, we partnered with Synchrony Bank for our Beyond High School Educational Conferences, Fred J. Brotherton Charitable Foundation, and the NJ Office of Faith-Based Initiatives for our Regional Close Reading Literacy Workshops and our Speak Up, Speak Out Workshop, and the NAACP New Brunswick Area Branch for contact with their high school students who found value in the information provided at the educational conference. “This is indeed an excellent first step for us to begin what I hope will be a long, fruitful collaboration. Programs such as this enable youth and adults from our community to build a strong foundation for a bright future.” ~ Bruce S. Morgan President, New Brunswick Area Branch NAACP #2094
We will continue to utilize volunteers as regional partners for our chapter coaches, Also, we reach out and partner with organizations, like the Alliance of YMCAs of New Jersey, Volunteers.org, VolunteerMatch.com and VolunteerConnect.com for volunteers for the support and operation of our chapter programs. We partner with local universities as well for training, professional services, and facilities resources.
Together with each partnering elementary/secondary school, school district, or community organization, we are willing to execute an annual memorandum of understanding that outlines the expectations of all parties, including New Jersey Orators.
