Become an Orator!

Are you interested in learning the “Art of Public Speaking”, speaking before small and large audiences, doing presentations in your class with ease?…

Do you dream of writing original stories and poetry, publishing stories online, or speaking on behalf of Orators locally and nationally? As a member of the New Jersey Orators (NJO), you can do all of these things and more!! Our Orators learn by:

  • Selecting appropriate presentation materials
  • Attending weekly meetings and practicing good oratory delivery
  • Participating in annual competitions and being recognized
  • Participating in corporate career days and cultural events as provided by the organization

Although the organization was initially targeted to develop oratory and life skills in minority youth, ages 7 to 18, children of all races are welcomed to join. Interested students may contact the New Jersey Orators headquarters and request membership information by calling or email.

Once we receive your request, someone from the Executive Board will get in touch with you or your parents and direct you to a local NJO Chapter. You can attend the local chapter meeting, complete a membership form and pay your membership dues. To review the list of NJO Chapters, meeting dates and locations, click here.
