NJ BIC Community Change Award in Education
The New Jersey Orators Inc. (NJO) recently received local New Jersey recognition for the 2014 Community Change Award in the category of Education from the New Jersey Black Issues Convention (NJBIC). The NJBIC Board seeks to identify organizations that have developed innovative and effective programs that aim to reduce disparities, should be more widely supported and which can be replicated by others.
President’s Volunteer Service Award – Gold
The coaches of the New Jersey Orators Inc. (NJO) received The President’s Volunteer Service Award, which is the highest-level service award in our nation. All coaches throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania received the Gold Award for Adults in recognition of 500 or more volunteer service hours of public service with the New Jersey Orators, Inc. Awards were presented during the annual oratory competitions held on December 5th and 12th at Franklin Middle School, Somerset, New Jersey.
